Preparing for the SATs

While we're still early in our journey into the SAT, my oldest has begun to do some initial ground work with beginning to get prepared for the SAT. As with many other areas within homeschooling, the opportunities for SAT-prep is vast.

I scoured the internet last summer for the best resource that Love could start with in her studies and we settled on the 2018 Edition of The Official SAT Study Guide. It's a very thick guide, but that's because it has multiple practice tests and explanatory answer guides to go with each test. Love's goal has been to become as familiar as she can with the type of content that she will be presented with to lessen the shock on test day and increase her comfort levels.

This guide, along with the Kaplan App, and IEW's high school writing course, all referenced below has been the resources that Love has used in her initial SAT study preparation.
