Once you and/or your student have done the research to identify which CLEP is appropriate to take, do the following to get you to test day!
uObtain a
picture ID if your student doesn't already have a driving permit / driving license
uCreate a CollegeBoard Account and a student profile in order to register for the test
u CollegeBoard allows you to register for
SAT tests, connect with Kaplan for tailored SAT tests preparation
u CollegeBoard also allows you to register for
CLEP Tests, send scores to 1 college of choice, and maintains CLEP scores
uSelect the
CLEP that you’d like to prepare for based on your coursework for the school
year
uStudy the
Subject as part of your coursework for the academic year
uStudy
corresponding CLEP study materials (i.e, REA Books, InstaCert, Petersons, DIVE study materials)
u(3) practice
test scores in the 60% test range is a strong indicator for passing-readiness
uSchedule CLEP
and take test
