Earning College Credit - Part 2

Entering the world of tackling these exams requires a lot of extra time and effort on your students. I would suggest that every home educating parent enter into this with insight into how it best benefits their student so that they are able to get the most out of the experience for their future.

uCLEP can be useful to students that are,

uInterested in saving money on paying for a college degree

uFlexible and open to earning a college degree in a “non-conventional” way

uEnables you to earn credit towards your degree without having to take a college course at a university.

uWilling to apply additional study time throughout the year to prepare for the test

uWilling to become independently motivated (i.e., scheduling study time, balance course work with CLEP study, etc.)

uGives student the ability to classify HS coursework as *Honors on High School transcript

uStrengthen study skills & time management

uStudying at the college level is effective for the future

uCLEP credit good for 20 years

uPlan the CLEP that you’d like to take in partnership the corresponding course that you’ve scheduled to take as part of your course work

uTo find out which schools accept CLEP scores and which specific tests they accept, search the CLEP policy online for the specific schools that interest you.
